Arizona Florist, as well as Teleflora member florists and community volunteers, will be out in full force in the Phoenix area July 17th to the 23rd delivering Be Happy® Bouquets to those who need smiles. Make Someone Smile® Week is the floral industry’s leading benevolent program and has become a hugely successful annual event with more than 30,000 arrangements given away each year.
This year Arizona Florist will be delivering the cheerful Be Happy® Bouquets on Monday, July 18th to all the residents of Memorial Towers, a retirement home for low income seniors, located in the south central Phoenix. “Making someone smile has been a team effort. When we signed on to participate, our partners immediately stepped in to make sure we could serve up lots of smiles,” said Cheryl Denham, owner of Arizona Family Florist the parent company of Arizona Florist. “Supporting the community with the power of fresh flowers brings a smile to all those involved in this wonderful event,” added Denham.
The event has been a collaborative effort, with Teleflora donating all the containers, Dramm & Echter Farms, as well as Arizona Florist’s sister company Arizona Flower Market, donating the fresh flowers. “We are always looking for ways to give back to the local communities we serve and this is a perfect opportunity,” said Michael Mooney, General Manager of Dramm & Echter Farms. “Arizona Family Florist’s charitable efforts exemplify the qualities that we look for when selecting community partners,” added Mr. Mooney.
